Poor Salem since the above photo was taken he was hit by a car in July and has a broken pelvis and tissue damage on the same side as his last accident (car again) several years ago where he had the ball at the top of his leg removed, he also had a pin through the leg as the bone had splintered downwards.
He has spent 12 weeks in the lounge in a pen so as he can heal, he has recently been spending the daytime outside in a covered compound to build him up to full strength. He wants to have full freedom again but I am concerned incase he has another accident and doesn't survive, so for the next couple of weeks I am putting him on the lawn in a covered pen for daytime to get him used to the outside again. If he had always been a house cat then it wouldn't be so bad but he has been used to tree climbing and playing on our field with the dogs and our other cats.
Late July when he was allowed to walk around the floor but not allowed to jump incase he re - broke his pelvis just as it was starting to heal.
